History & Infrastructure

The college commenced its academic activities in June 1991 (Academic Year 1991-92) with the Three-Year LLB Course on a no-grant basis.

Initially the college functioned from the premises of Mudhoji High School, provided generously by the Phaltan Education Society.

In 1999, the college was shifted to a rented building at Vivekanand Nagar, and later in 2003, to the Phaltan Nagar Parishad building at Shankar Market.

In 2008, the college moved into its own spacious building, constructed on one acre and two gunthas of land at Girvi Naka, in the heart of Phaltan city.

Quality Assurance & Accreditation

In accordance with NAAC guidelines, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) was established in October 2004 as a post-accreditation quality enhancement initiative.

During the accreditation process, the NAAC Peer Team visited the institution in July 2004, conducted detailed interactions with management, faculty, staff, students, and parents, and awarded the institution a 'B' Grade after thorough evaluation.

The IQAC meets periodically to review academic and administrative performance and to ensure continuous quality improvement. The college regularly submits Annual Quality Assurance Reports (AQARs) to NAAC.

The institution remains committed to continuous growth and is confident of positive outcomes in future reaccreditation processes.

From The Principal's Desk

Dear Students,

Legal education is not merely concerned with the study of laws and legal procedures; it serves as a powerful instrument for safeguarding the rights, liberties, and dignity of individuals. It plays a crucial role in promoting social justice by addressing inequalities, protecting vulnerable sections of society, and contributing to the overall welfare and harmony of the community. Through legal education, individuals are empowered to understand, assert, and defend their rights, thereby strengthening the foundations of a just and equitable society.

In a democratic welfare state, legal knowledge is indispensable for the effective functioning of democratic institutions. It nurtures respect for the rule of law, encourages responsible citizenship, and upholds constitutional values and human rights. Beyond its traditional role of teaching statutes and procedures, legal education fosters critical thinking, ethical reasoning.
