Vision and Mission
Vision and Mission, is a mechanism in an institution, by which the institution is guided to design/draft future plans so as to undertake various activities and programs to ensure and enhance the quality in teaching, learning, evaluation and methodology in higher education and to ensure that the students through the years are transformed and possess knowledge and required skill sets for the legal profession and to pursue their goals. The ideals and goals enshrined in the stated vision and mission of our institution are stated hereunder –
- i) To impart legal education, absolutely on service motto to the poor, downtrodden rural youth and especially the girls, who cannot afford expensive and risky, stay in cities to pursue legal education.
- ii) To inspire and inculcate the girl students, women and rural people to have legal awareness about their rights, duties and responsibilities and safeguard/protect themselves from social evils/menaces like dowry deaths, domestic violence, sexual harassment, untouchability etc.
- iii) To encourage the students to take active part in curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities viz. elocution, debate, moot-court competitions, sports and games, legal aid camps, legal literacy programmes etc.
- iv) To enlighten the students as to social and moral values, socio-economic equality, and to promote among them unity, integrity and fraternity.
- v) To make the people aware of their basic human rights, fundamental rights, legal rights, the rule of law, democratic principle etc., to build up their overall personality and legal know how.
- vi) To create awareness among the scheduled caste, scheduled tribe and other backward and downtrodden classes, know about their rights and privileges.
- vii) To establish a pleasant and peaceful academic environment by amicable settlement of disputes through alternate dispute resolution systems viz. arbitration, conciliation, collective bargaining etc.
- viii) To inspire and help the ongoing law graduates appear for competitive examinations viz. Maharashtra State Public Service Commission (J.M.F.C.: Judicial Magistrate First Class and General)., U.P.S.C., L.I.C., Banking Examinations etc.
- ix) To inculcate the importance and significance of the noble legal profession and the role of the bench and bar (the two wheels of the chariot of justice) in the administration of justice.
